Privacy policy

Mustard Seed Investor is a small educational site that summarizes public SEC and congressional filings. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site receives, why, and what we never do with it. Last updated November 4, 2026.

Browsing without an account

You can read the site without signing in. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Signing in with Google

Accounts are optional. If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google tells us your name, email address and Google account ID so we can create and recognize your account. We never see your Google password. A signed cookie (msi_session) in your browser keeps you signed in; signing out or clearing cookies ends the session.

Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans and course enrolments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen, transmitted or stored by this site. We store only your plan, subscription status, billing period and Stripe's customer and subscription IDs so the site knows what your account includes.

What you save on the site

Watchlists and alert settings are stored on our server, linked to your account, so they can sync between your devices. Some preferences — pinned managers, display choices and course progress — are stored only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us. If you turn on browser push alerts, we store the notification endpoint your browser issues so alerts can reach you; you can turn alerts off at any time on the Alerts page.

Service providers

The site is hosted by Render and delivered through Cloudflare, which process standard request data (such as IP addresses) to serve and protect the site. The market and filing data shown here comes from public sources (SEC EDGAR and congressional disclosure sites) and is not personal information about you.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time, manage or cancel billing from your Account page, and ask us to delete your account and its stored data by messaging us on X at @mustardseedoil.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
